How is social and emotional development related to school readiness and early success in school?
To succeed in school, young children need to have certain predictable social competencies and skills. When young children do not know
what to do with their anger, feel very sad, or feel out of control, it is very hard for them to concentrate or to stay out of trouble.
As young children enter school, they will have a hard time if these behaviors do not change.
